Recently we told you about a wonderful attempt at fund raising from the grandson Charlie of Mel Lievesley. Mel is doing well in his recovery and wanted us to know that Charlie took on a real challenge and succeeded. As a reminder this was Charlie's challenge

On the weekend of the 12th/13th of September Charlie is doing a sponsored 15 mile bike ride, followed by a 5 mile walk on day one, then the following day swimming 40 lengths (800m) of Alsager swimming baths for Bowel cancer UK, Quite a challenge for a 8 year old.

Well, the great news is that Charlie succeeded. Mel sends this message - ‘ A huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated to my grandson Charlie's recent charity event for Bowel Cancer UK. Thanks to your generosity he raised an amazing £3350 !!'
