It is with great sadness that I advise you that George Williams recently passed away. He will be missed by many, particularly the badminton fraternity. Please see the e-mail below from Helen giving details of the funeral. I would be grateful if League Secretaries could cascade this information.

I would be grateful if you could pass on the details of George's funeral which I can now confirm as follows.
We will be holding the funeral of George Williams at 12.00 noon Wednesday 29th January at Blacon Crematorium. We request family flowers only but any donations in George's memory will be given to Dorin Park School in Chester (a Specialist School that George fundraised for by running summer Badminton tournaments over many years).
After the service we will be holding a celebration of George's life at The Little Owl (Countess Way, CH1 4DA). We would love to share this occasion with as many of you as possible so we can share memories of George as a husband, father, grandad, badminton player and friend.
