The end of season presentation dinner took place last night (23rd May) at Crewe Golf Club. The event was put together by Kara Robinson with help from exec members. We welcomed Welsh Row, Whitfield, Northwich and South Cheshire to the event along with the exec members.

The usual high class hospitality was evident in the first part of the evening with our two course meal. Kara then got things underway with the presentations. Jez Touch was first to present the tournament trophies to those in the room who had seen success. Chairman Carl McGregor-Ogden presented the various winners trophies to each of the Masters, Handicap and Open winners. Clare Griffin made several trips to the front after another successful season picking up multiple trophies over the whole evening. Others picking up silverware were, John Hunter (mens over 40s masters), Sue Saunders/Tina Baker for ladies and Tina back again for mixed (over 50s Masters), your current correspondent even got a look in this time with the mens over 50s masters.

In the Open category Jess Gentles was there for the ladies singles, Jack Raiswell in both mens singles and doubles with dad - Dave.

In the handicap we had the mens doubles winner - Richard Jakeman followed by the sole Crosses representative to collect the John Ford trophy. The President Mr David Sumner did so despite not actually playing this time, but memories of his former glories in this tournament are still fresh!.

Kara took over to present the divisional trophies. Welsh Row paid their usual multiple visits to the front for the Ladies, Hybrid one and mixed divisions. Whitfield had a great year and took mens one and mens three. Northwich received mens two. Finally - a special award. We had managed to hide the fact that Kara Robinson had picked up the Tony Hickson award for services to the league and so she was surprised and delighted to pick this up. Kara's handiwork was evident in the tabletop games and quiz that she had prepared.
