The final was played last Friday (10th April) at Shavington between Alsager and Crosses. The teams lined up as- Alsager: Chris and Evie Geal, Becky Tong, EvaN Bowers, George Goudie and Harish Venkatesan. Crosses were: Lee Cooke, Dave Gordon, Nayan Mistry, Dominic Cheung, Symone Dale and Emma Brookes.

The two teams were evenly balanced with a number of close encounters in prospect. Earlier deliberation by the handicappers had resulted in a marginal advantage being awarded to Alsager of 25 points, Crosses appearing to be slightly the stronger team.

On the night only one game went well wide of prediction, not in the outcome but the size of the margin. All other games looked roughly in line with handicappers expectation. The match before handicapping ended up in a lead for Crosses of 42 points. Despite the addition of the 25 point handicap that still left Alsager short of the target by 17 points. Crosses duly took the trophy.

Once again, the handicappers did a good job and both teams were appreciative of their efforts. To forecast to less than one pint a game is outstanding.

Well p[layed everyone and congratulations to Crosses. The score sheet and a photo are attached.
