Today (22nd May) a packed congregation said farewell to Marion Doe at Wellspring Methodist church in Congleton. Amongst the many people there to pay their respects were 3 principal groups plus the family. Badminton was represented by Crewe and District League, Congleton BC and CCBA . A large group of Marion's tennis chums (her Tennis background is just as impressive as Badminton in terms of her own achievements and the volunteering she did, especially being a lineswoman at Wimbledon) plus University of the Third Age. We heard from Simon Doe (Marion's son) who gave us some insights to the family and Marion's early days as a graduate from Derby, and also her grandson who read out a poem. Congleton Lawn Tennis Club hosted the refreshments where plenty of stories were exchanged.

Everyone will miss her - a very warm and wonderful lady. Attached you will find the front page photo from her order of service
