We are very sad to have to tell you all that a dear friend and highly respected Badminton colleague has succumbed to an illness that she has suffered from for a while now. Marion Doe of Congleton Badminton Club passed away at the weekend. For all of our friends at Congleton this is devastating news and they will deal with it as a club. For the rest of us we have lost a valued and long serving player. Marion has a long history with Crewe and District and Cheshire Badminton. Last year she was the recipient of the Tony Hickson award for services to local Badminton. We have no details of any further arrangements but I know some of you will want to hear of these so we will let you know as soon as possible. For now our thoughts are with Marion's family and friends.
